Help Families Fight Cancer.
Supporting families of children battling pediatric brain cancer and Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG)
Impact A family forever
Step 01
Become Aware
Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is the leading cause of death from pediatric brain tumors. Only four percent of cancer research funding is allocated toward childhood cancers and, of that, only one percent is spent on DIPG research.
Step 02
Meet The Need
Give toward the needs of a family facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. An estimated 35 percent of families battling pediatric brain cancer will file for bankruptcy as a result of medical costs, travel expenses and the potential loss of income by family members during treatment.
Step 03
Make A Difference
Your financial or in-kind support of the Team Buddy Forever Foundation will make a tremendous difference in the lives of those impacted by pediatric cancer and DIPG, and allows us to continue honoring Buddy’s legacy.
A cancer diagnosis is hard on everyone.
- Are you a family personally affected by pediatric cancer?
- Would you like to give a family a tangible connection to help with their practical struggles
- Do you want to make a difference in your community?
- Would you like to pay it forward?
Team Buddy Forever Foundation
Braden Patrick Miller, affectionately known as “Buddy,” touched many hearts during his courageous 21-month battle with brain cancer. The young warrior was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare form of pediatric cancer, in January of 2017.
The mission of the Team Buddy Forever Foundation is to fund awareness, advocacy and treatment research of pediatric brain cancers, while assisting families of children diagnosed with DIPG with the necessary financial support and networking resources for treatment options during this traumatic period.
We are committed to reducing these financial hardships by assisting with the following:
- Mortgage / Rent Payments
- Auto Payments
- Utilities
- Food Cards
- Fuel Cards
- Travel Expenses To and From Treatments
This foundation provides financial assistance for families in 4 key areas of their cancer journey:
Medical Expenses
Not covered by insurance
Personal Expenses
Such as mortgage or rent payments, automobile payments, utilities, etc
Travel Expenses
Travel expenses to and from treatments
Research
More research is needed to discover effective treatments.
Nearly 16,000 children in the U.S. between birth and age 19 are diagnosed with cancer each year.
- Only 4% of federal cancer research funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer.
- Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths for children and teens under age 20.
- Parents of kids with DIPG are usually advised to take their children home and “make memories.”
Team Buddy Forever Foundation aims to bridge the gap during cancer treatment.
